KU-MIZZOU STORY FROM HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA

KU Shows Mercy on Mizzou in Cali

August 16, 2008

At midnight on 8/15, my wife heard a loud noise outside our kitchen window facing the street here in downtown Huntington Beach, CA. As I looked out the window, I saw someone laying in our Jayhawk planter. As I approached the young man who was passed out drunk with no response, I thought I was on the verge of seeing my first death in public. Luckily, the young man awoke and to my wife and I's dismay, he was wearing a Mizzou shirt! This was ironic because my wife had her Jayhawk Nat'l Title shirt on and we are both grads ('01 MSEd, '03 BFA). I was able to get him much needed assistance by calling a friend. He was in really bad shape. I nearly called the cops, but gave the confused Mizzou fan a break. Here is our "Alma Mater Ode" to the drunk tiger (sing along with KU Alma Mater)
